A. The Organization Collecting the Information Colorado Summer Camp Guide ( CSCG) is the sole owner of the information collected on its sites and through other means. We will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose this information to other parties other than as disclosed in this statement.
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that CSCG is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage our users to take appropriate precautions when leaving our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.
B. Use of Personal Information What personally identifiable information is collected from you through our web site and how it's used? CSCG collects information from our users at several different points throughout our web site and from other sources. This section describes these points of collection.
List A Camp and Premium List A Camp Forms The public can list camp information by going to our web page, filling out an online form and submitting it to us. Likewise, a camp director can complete a list-our-camp online form and submit it to us. The information shared about summer camps that serve the youth of Colorado can be listed on the web site. Information provided on these forms is used to contact camp directors to provide accurate and up-to-date information about summer camps listed. Information provided by those who complete and submit the online forms is used for our online guide only and is never shared outside our organization.
E-Mail Subscribe (opt-In) If a user subscribes to our E-mail updates (opt-in), we ask for contact information such as E-mail address. These E-mail addresses and names are never shared outside our organization, except as described in this privacy statement. Opt-out procedures are easy to complete, are immediate and are on the opt-in or subscribe page of the web site.
Contests and Surveys From time to time, we may conduct contests or surveys. Participation in these contests or surveys is completely voluntary, and thus the user has a choice about whether or not to disclose the information requested. Information from these contests and surveys may be combined with other information we have about you, but is never shared except in the form of aggregate statistics.
Log Files We use standard server log files to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. This log file information is not linked to personally identifiable information, and all information gleaned from log files is used only in the aggregate.
Cookies A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. To the best of our ability we limit the use of cookies on our site. C. Correction/Updating Information Corrections and updates to information about summer camps are welcome. Camp information updates will be validated by e-mailing the camp director (administrator) of the camp in question before makes changes.
If CSCG changes its privacy policy, we will post a notice of the change on our homepage for at least seven days so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point CSCG decides to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, users will have a choice whether to consent to such use.
D. Involvement of Children when collecting information (COPPA) Information in the LIST A CAMP online form is intended to be completed by persons over 18 years of age. While anyone can complete a List A Camp, only camp directors submitted will be contacted. The online camp guide will remain in compliance of the federal COPPA rules and regulations. No personal information is collected from children.
